We met between rocks
on Squeaky Beach.
Seaweed stuck to my heal,
sand between my teeth.
You showed me how to stomp,
pop the beach
make it squeak.
You brought me shells,
caught me a fish
in the Tile River
but it slipped away
into the tea tree water
before we could kill it.
I climbed up Lovers Leap,
stripping down to my vest.
You just watched me
and ran home
before I could scramble down
after you.

Comments
I did notice that you wrote "heal" instead of "heel" on the third line.
